Being an ATSE Fellow
ATSE’s key strength is its Fellows’ deep knowledge, expertise and experience in technological sciences and engineering, drawn from academia, government, industry/business and publicly funded research agencies.
The selection of candidates for election to Fellowship includes both the impact of their achievements and their capacity to contribute to ATSE’s mission. Fellows provide expert advice, guidance, leadership and mentoring in support of ATSE's priority areas, Strategic Plan, and ongoing educational programs, publications and activities.
Making the case for election
The basis for selection of candidates for election to Fellowship is two-fold:
- Impact of achievements reflecting outstanding individual or leadership achievement in the technological sciences and engineering
- Capacity to bring value to ATSE, and how the nominee will contribute to ATSE’s mission.
It is essential that both elements are argued convincingly. The individual impact of candidates is based on achievements to date and should also highlight their ability to make ongoing contributions in the key areas of Australia’s technological and applied sciences and engineering future.
ATSE Fellowship is highly regarded as a peer recognition of achievement in driving real impact, but it is more than just another credential. ATSE is looking to elect prospective Fellows who can articulate how they will bring value to ATSE and actively contribute to ATSE’s mission.
